CAT- Chatham Area Transit

Every day thousands of people use the public transportations buses in Savannah, Georgia. The service is called Chatham Area Transit, and the largest station is the Joe Murray Rivers, Jr. Intermodal Transit Center, which is also the Savannah hub for all Grey Hound Buses. Tourists use the free shuttle service called the “dot” to traverse the historic district, but most people I encounter take the buses to get to and from work, to get their groceries, and to start or continue their journeys around the country. Some people will even come to the bus station just to charge their phones, pass the time, and make conversation with others.
